Nothing cuts through the heat and humidity like a crisp and refreshing drink, and if you’ve ever been downtown during a heatwave in Toronto, you’ll understand why it’s important to know where the best patios are.

The financial district is home to some of Toronto’s top outdoor spaces to eat and drink. On any given weekday in the summer, you’ll find patios packed with the business crowd.

Here are three patios we highly recommend in the Financial District, just steps from our front door.

1. Speakeasy 21

This patio is always bumping with the Bay Street crowd on Thursday and Friday nights. The central location and two-tiered patio overlooks Adelaide street and provides the perfect vantage point for people watching. The extensive cocktail list offers unique and exciting sips, handcrafted by expert mixologists. If you’re looking for social space, we highly recommend visiting Speakeasy 21.

2. Pick 6ix

Conceptualized by Toronto’s very own Drake, Pick 6ix offers a unique patio experience in the Downtown Core, located on Yonge Street. With a moody Gatsby theme, the unique indoor/outdoor patio creates a bright and airy space for enjoying the fresh and flavourful menu. Must try on the cocktail list is ‘Black Widow’ for those that enjoy a whiskey-based drink.

3. Cactus Club

If you’re a fan of a classic frosty pint of beer or a chilled glass of wine, Cactus Club is the patio for you. Serving up every ones’ favourite drinks, this indoor/outdoor patio is the ideal spot to post up and watch the business crowd let loose. Cactus Club is located on Adelaide Street, just west of Yonge Street.
